Dr. Allie Hayman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on bioastronautics, spacesuit design, and human factors in space exploration. She holds a PhD in Aerospace Biomedical Engineering (MIT, 2014) and dual MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Technology Policy from MIT (2011). Prior to her faculty roles, she served as a postdoctoral fellow at Dartmouth College and a Visiting Assistant Professor at CU Boulder.

Her research integrates engineering, biomedical science, and policy considerations to advance human spaceflight safety and capability.

Professional Activities: She has held roles at NASA’s Man Vehicle Laboratory and Dartmouth Medical School.
