Alla Melman

Dr. Alla Melman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Health Sciences, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on innovative healthcare models, particularly virtual hospital systems for managing low back pain and musculoskeletal conditions. She leads studies on implementation science, care pathway optimization, and telemedicine applications in emergency and clinical settings.

Her current research student, Adnan Asger Ali, collaborates on organizational perspectives of care implementation. Key areas of investigation include global epidemiology of low back pain admissions, clinician perspectives on virtual care adoption, and comparative effectiveness of allied health models in emergency departments.
