Alla Marchuk

Dr. Alla Marchuk is a Lecturer in Soil/Environmental Chemistry at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), affiliated with the School of Agriculture and Environmental Science. She holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide (2013) and is a member of the Australian Soil Science Society. Her expertise spans soil chemistry, food chemistry, analytical chemistry, and nutrition and health. She teaches courses in Soil Chemistry, Food Chemistry, and Nutrition and Health.

Her research focuses on soil structural stability, clay-cation interactions, and environmental remediation, particularly addressing challenges like arsenic removal and irrigation water management. She has supervised doctoral research on topics such as biochar applications, soil amendment strategies, and heavy metal toxicity. Her work integrates laboratory and field studies, with notable contributions to understanding hydraulic conductivity and soil dispersion mechanisms.

Dr. Marchuk collaborates with institutions like the Centre for Agricultural Engineering and actively publishes in journals such as Science of the Total Environment and Geoderma.
