Alison Pearce is a full-time Lecturer in Social Work at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU), serving since 2018. Previously, she acted as an associate lecturer from 2013 while practicing as a social worker in community settings. Her expertise spans adult social work, with a focus on individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, older adults, and substance misuse. She leads the FDSc in Adult Care and contributes to BSc (Hons) and MSc Social Work programs.
Educationally, she holds a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) and BSc in Social Work Studies from BNU, alongside an MSc Best Interest Assessor from Bournemouth University (2016). Her research interests emphasize multi-disciplinary collaboration, safeguarding practices, and innovative adult education strategies. She is registered with Social Work England and actively advocates for empowering service users through interdisciplinary approaches.
