معرفی
Dr. Alison Ming is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) and the C-CLEAR Doctoral Training Partnership (NERC-funded). She is available for co-supervision of doctoral students starting in October 2026.
- Specializes in stratospheric dynamics and ozone-temperature interactions
- Part of the international APARC community
- Co-leads global QBO-ozone modeling activities
Her research focuses on large-scale atmospheric processes, particularly radiative-dynamical feedback in the stratosphere, QBO variability, and climate change impacts on tropical circulation systems. She employs a multi-method approach combining observations, hierarchical models, and theoretical frameworks.
Recent work emphasizes interdisciplinary projects like:
- Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO) evolution under climate change
- Brewer-Dobson circulation dynamics
- Asian Monsoon system variability
- Tropical widening and aerosol transport
Collaborations span the British Antarctic Survey, Scott Polar Research Institute, and international climate modeling initiatives.
