Alison Kelly Hawke is a Professor and Chair of Economics & Philosophy at Suffolk University, Boston, MA. She holds a PhD in Economics from Boston College (1993), an MA from the University of Southern California (1987), and a B.A. from College of the Holy Cross (1986). Her research focuses on applied statistics, business analytics pedagogy, and classification model optimization. She has authored influential textbooks in Business Statistics and Analytics for McGraw-Hill, recognized as top-selling titles in their fields.
Dr. Kelly’s academic career spans over three decades at Suffolk University, where she has held roles from Assistant Professor (1992–1997) to her current Chair position. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at Boston College (1991–2013, 2016) and a consultant at Citizens Financial Group (2014–2016). Her teaching excellence was honored with the 1991 Boston College Teaching Award, and her textbook contributions earned the 2020 McGraw-Hill Product of the Year Award.
