Alison Elliott

Professor Alison Elliott is a Professor in the School of Education and the Arts at CQUniversity Australia. She specializes in early childhood education, teacher preparation, and educational policy. Her work focuses on curriculum design, professional development for teachers, family-school engagement, and policy issues in regional contexts. She has held leadership roles in academia and contributed to national policy initiatives such as editing Every Child and serving on the Board of the Australian Children’s Educational and Care Quality Authority.

Alison holds a PhD, Master of Educational Studies, B.Ed., and Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE). Her research emphasizes strengthening educational practices in remote communities, leveraging digital technologies for equity, and fostering partnerships between families, schools, and communities. She has authored numerous publications on early childhood pedagogy, policy, and professional development.
