Alison D. Morantz is the James and Nancy Kelso Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, Director of SIDDLAPP, and Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Her research explores the law and economics of protective labor regulation, intellectual and developmental disability, and workers' compensation, focusing on real-world policy impacts.
Education includes:

- PhD in Economics from Harvard University (2001)
Research interests center on disability law, employment regulations, and policy reform. Her work examines ownership effects on care quality, statistical hazard targeting, unionization impacts on safety, and workers' compensation economics.
Honors include appointment to a federal panel analyzing mine safety after the 2010 Upper Big Branch Mine disaster. Current projects focus on intellectual disability rights through SIDDLAPP, an interdisciplinary initiative examining welfare policies for individuals with I/DD.
