Alison Cronin

Dr. Alison Cronin is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Bournemouth University's Faculty of Media and Communication. She specializes in corporate crime, financial crime, and regulatory reform, with notable works including two books: Corporate Criminality and Liability for Fraud (Routledge 2018) and Bad Business Practice (Edward Elgar 2022). Her research focuses on corporate fraud prevention, 'failure to prevent' offences, whistleblower protections, and the reconfiguration of corporate liability frameworks.

Her recent publications analyze civil class actions in corporate criminal enforcement, flaws in the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, and regulatory approaches to corporate misconduct. She contributes to policy consultations on corporate crime and consent-based harm regulations, while maintaining expertise in cybercrime liability and antisocial personality disorder intersections with criminal law.
