Alison Chasteen is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on stereotyping, prejudice, and stigma across the adult lifespan, examining both perceiver and target perspectives, as well as cognitive processes like memory and attention within social contexts.

She leads the Intergroup Relations Lab (IRL), mentoring graduate students and lab staff, and serves as a consulting editor for Psychology and Aging and Journals of Gerontology: Psychological Sciences. Her work bridges social psychology and aging research, exploring how social dynamics influence cognitive functioning.
