Alison Calvert

Dr. Alison Calvert is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the School of Biological Sciences, Queen's University Belfast. Her work focuses on integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into food science and higher education pedagogy, with a strong emphasis on curriculum innovation, active learning, and student engagement. She serves as Programme Director for the MSc Global Food Safety (Distance Learning) and coordinates modules such as Sustainable Food Systems, Food Innovation, and Research Projects.
