Alison Bianchi, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for the Study of Group Processes at the University of Iowa. She specializes in structural social psychology, focusing on group processes, nomothetic theory construction, and quantitative methodology. Her work examines social exchanges, sentiments, and status hierarchies in educational organizations and friendship cliques. She holds a PhD from Stanford University and teaches courses on social psychology, research methods, sociology of education, and sociology of religion.
