Aline Coutinho is a Part Time Professor in the Department of Sociological and Anthropological Studies. She teaches courses including Globalization: Sociological and Anthropological Studies and Local and Global Economic Relations, holding office hours on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM in Room 10054 of the Social Science Building (FSS).
Her research explores four interconnected domains:
- Economy, Employment and Markets: Analyzing socioeconomic structures
- Development of Individuals, Communities and Social Life: Examining human development frameworks
- International Relations and Development: Investigating global systemic interactions
- Cultural Globalization: Studying transnational cultural flows
Her publications (2007-2016) demonstrate interdisciplinary analysis spanning economic anthropology, science policy, environmental communication, and political media discourse, consistently employing comparative methodologies across sociological and anthropological paradigms.
