Aline Bozec

Professor Aline Bozec is a faculty member at the University Hospital Erlangen, affiliated with the Department of Internal Medicine 3 - Rheumatology and Immunology. Her research explores immune mechanisms underlying bone diseases, with emphases on eosinophil regulation, transcription factors (AP-1/Fra), macrophage behavior, and links between intestinal health and systemic autoimmunity.

Her key research interests include:

• Inflammatory bone degeneration
• Transcription factor control in bone homeostasis
• Eosinophil subgroups in arthritis
• Tumor microenvironment dynamics
• Regulated cell death in autoimmunity

She received the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize (2016) for outstanding scientific contributions. Currently, she spearheads multiple projects:
