Alina Maria Rynio, Hab. PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Christian Pedagogy, at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). She has been actively involved in academic work since 1983, focusing on pedagogy, theology, and social psychology, with a habilitation in humanities (pedagogy) since 2005. Her career includes leadership roles such as managing the Institute of Pedagogy (2005–2007) and reorganizing study programs at KUL.
- Academic Leadership: Directed Institute of Pedagogy (2012–2012), co-founded interdisciplinary doctoral studies (2010), and led teams for educational quality certification.
- Research Focus: Explores integral education, Catholic pedagogy, media pedagogy, and theological foundations of education, influenced by Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.
Her scholarly output includes monographs on youth education and the legacy of John Paul II. She has supervised numerous theses and organized national/international conferences, particularly in collaboration with movements like Communion and Liberation (since 1984). She has received multiple awards, including the Silver Cross of Merit and Rector's Prizes for organizational excellence.
