Alina Aulbur is a Researcher at the Department of English and American Studies, Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, under the Chair of English Cultural and Literary Studies led by Prof. Dr. Claudia Lillge. Her research focuses on Anglophone literatures and culture from the late 16th to early 19th century, emphasizing historical/cultural contexts and gender studies. She holds an M.A. in Anglophone Literatures, Cultures, and Media from Goethe University Frankfurt (2020) and is currently working on her PhD dissertation while also serving as the Department Representative of Women’s Affairs (Frauenbeauftragte).
Research Projects: Her current project examines Frances Burney’s subversive courtship novels and their cultural/social/historical contexts. Her M.A. thesis on late 18th-century courtship novels earned the Dagmar Westberg-Universitätspreis. Teaching interests include 18th-19th century literature and fantasy literature.
Professional Activities: She maintains weekly office hours (Wednesday 11:00–12:00, by email预约) and participates in academic networks like the FAU’s Interdisciplinary Center for Gender, Difference, and Diversity (IZGDD). Her work bridges literary analysis with cultural history, particularly gender dynamics in pre-Victorian/ Victorian-era texts.
