Alicia Klees

Alicia Klees is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Climate, Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She serves as the Online Program Coordinator for graduate certificate and Master's programs in weather and climate risk & data analytics. Her primary roles include teaching geoscience data science courses and advising online students.

Awards: Consistently ranked among UIUC's top teachers since 2021, with recognition for courses like ATMS 517 and ATMS 520. Earned Penn State's Teaching Support Award in 2017.

Advising & Mentorship: Advises online students and mentors undergraduate research projects. Current opportunities include studies on social science applications in severe weather and observational analyses of extreme weather events.
