Alicia Cruz-Uribe

Alicia Cruz-Uribe is Edward Sturgis Grew Associate Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology at the University of Maine's School of Earth and Climate Sciences. Her research examines subduction zone metamorphism using microanalytical geochemistry.

Research Focus: Investigates slab-mantle interactions through petrography, isotope tracing, and experimental petrology. Directs the MAGIC Laboratory housing LA-ICP-MS instrumentation for geochemical mapping and geochronology.

Teaching: Offers courses in Earth Materials, Isotope Geochemistry, and Geochronology. Serves as Graduate Coordinator overseeing Earth Sciences MS/PhD programs.
