Alicia Chrysostomou

Dr. Alicia Chrysostomou is a Senior Lecturer in Polymer Technology and Engineering with a career spanning academia and industry. She studied in Ireland and at London Metropolitan University, earning a PhD focused on plastics processing and fracture mechanics. Her academic roles include senior lecturer positions at London Met and lecturing at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

Educated at London Metropolitan University (and predecessors) with a PhD in Polymer Technology, she has been a consultant for the British Plastics Federation and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, addressing technical queries in plastics and rubber. She organizes outreach programs, delivers science lectures to schools and community groups, and has served as Director of the Cyprus Centre since 2002.
