Alice Wilson

Alice Wilson is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at the University of Sussex, UK, affiliated with the School of Global Studies. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge (2011) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research spans political and economic anthropology, focusing on revolutionary movements, liberation struggles, and their post-conflict legacies in Southwest Asia and North Africa.

Her 2016 book Sovereignty in Exile received an Honorable Mention from the American Anthropological Association Middle East Section. Current research explores comparative studies of abolitionism in Arab liberation movements and the political implications of migratory aspirations in post-revolutionary contexts.
