Alice Shadis is a Senior Lecturer and qualified Audiologist at Swansea University, dual-registered with RCCP and HCPC as an NHS clinical Audiologist and Hearing Aid Distributor. She holds a first-class honors degree in Audiology from Swansea University, complemented by a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education and HEA/AAU teaching fellowships. Her expertise focuses on Adult Auditory Rehabilitation, Tinnitus, and Hyperacusis Therapy. She served as Secretary of the British Society of Audiology’s Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Special Interest Group (2016–2019), contributing to UK clinical practice guidelines. As Program Director of the Certificate in Basic Audiological Practice (FHEQ Level 4), she develops modules for Associate Audiologists in NHS Wales. She is a STEM Ambassador advocating Audiology careers in Welsh schools.

Research Interests: Alice’s work explores inflammatory biomarkers in tinnitus, clinical audiological diagnostics, and rehabilitation strategies.
