Dr Alice Roullière is a Supernumerary Teaching Professor at St John's College, University of Oxford. She specializes in early modern French and Neo-Latin poetry, with particular focus on Pierre de Ronsard, national identity, religious conflicts, and representations of death. Her PhD (Trinity Hall, Cambridge) examined Ronsard’s epic ghosts and their political implications. She holds a degree from the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm) and the Sorbonne, and teaches Racine commentary lectures at the MML Faculty level. Her current research explores Peru’s representation in early modern French literature, analyzing classical epic adaptations and colonial imaginaries.
