Dr. Alice Price is a Lecturer and Researcher at the School of Psychology, Cardiff University. Her work focuses on sensory processing, neurodivergence, and clinical psychology, with a transdiagnostic approach to understanding sensory hypersensitivity across conditions like autism, ADHD, migraine, and mental health disorders.
- Cardiff University (2015–2023): BSc, PhD in Wellcome Trust Integrative Neuroscience
Her research employs subjective assessments, neuroimaging, and psychophysics to develop tools like the Cardiff Hypersensitivity Scale (CHYPS), addressing conceptual gaps in sensory overload. Key findings include the transdiagnostic nature of visual hypersensitivity and its relationship with anxiety in adolescents.
Recent publications in Vision Research and Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry highlight her contributions to sensory processing models. She also teaches Year 2 modules on Thinking, Emotion, and Consciousness, and supervises final-year projects.
