Alice Pontoglio

Alice Pontoglio is a Research Assistant and PhD student at the University of Lucerne, Faculty of Economics and Management, working under Professor Manuel Oechslin's chair for International Economics since June 2025.

Her educational background includes:

• BSc in International Economics and Management from Bocconi University (2021)
• MSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University (Joint Degree) and a Master's in Economics, general research focus, from Université Catholique de Louvain

Her research centers on Economic Development, Economic Growth, and International Economics, building on prior experience as a research assistant at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. This work informs her doctoral studies under Professor Oechslin's supervision.

Alice Pontoglio actively contributes to research projects within the International Economics chair but does not supervise students as she completes her PhD. Her institutional affiliation remains current with the University of Lucerne.
