Dr Alice König is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Impact in the School of Classics at the University of St Andrews. She holds a BA (First Class), MPhil, and PhD from King's and St John's Colleges, Cambridge. Her research focuses on intellectual history, intertextuality, and conflict narratives in ancient and modern contexts. She co-founded the Visualising War podcast, featuring over 80 episodes exploring narratives of war and peace across media. König’s work bridges academia and public engagement, including collaborations with theater companies and NGOs like Never Such Innocence. She has won teaching awards for pioneering 'applied Classics' and youth-led peace initiatives. Her recent publications include monographs on Sextus Julius Frontinus and co-edited volumes on literary interactions in the Roman Empire.
