Alice Knox Eaton is a Professor of English at Springfield College, affiliated with the Department of Literature, Writing, and Journalism within the School of Arts and Sciences. She joined Springfield College in 2000 and actively contributes to the Honors Program. Her research focuses on Post-Colonial Literature, Toni Morrison's work, and intersections of literature with gender studies. Eaton has published academic articles and personal essays in journals like ARIEL and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Additionally, she is a playwright with works staged at institutions such as the Women’s Project and Productions in NYC and Yale School of Drama. She contributes to the African-American National Biography project at Harvard University and is currently developing a memoir about her family and an article exploring African-American culture through autobiographical criticism.
