Alice J. Paul is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Brown University. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Applied Math and Computer Science at Olin College of Engineering and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Brown's Data Science Initiative under Professor Pedro Felzenszwalb.
- Education: PhD in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University (2017), advised by Professor David Williamson; BSc in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College, advised by Professor Susan Martonosi.
His research focuses on algorithms, optimization, and data science, particularly in applications like bike-share systems, machine learning, revenue management, and public health analytics. He has contributed to educational resources such as the book Mastering Health Data Science Using R, supported by a Data Science Institute Seed Grant.

Dr. Paul teaches courses including Probability/Statistics, Applied Regression Analysis, Statistical Programming in R, and Practical Data Analysis. His current work involves advising students and collaborating with Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) on data-driven projects.
