Alice Binder is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna, affiliated with the Advertising and Media Psychology Research Group (AdMe). She was previously a Senior Scientist at Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt (2021–2022).

Her research focuses on persuasive communication, health communication, and political microtargeting effects. Recent work examines social media influencers' health messaging, dating app algorithms, and longitudinal impacts of media exposure on youth behavior.
Awards include two Top Student-led Paper Awards (ICA 2024), Research Funding (ÖGK 2022), and the Abby Prestin Dissertation Award (ICA 2021). She collaborates extensively with Jörg Matthes and Christina Peter.
Her 15 most recent publications span political communication, health psychology, and media effects on children, with methodologies including eye tracking, experiments, and content analysis.
