Dr Alice Baynes is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Sciences at Brunel University London's College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. She leads the Environmental Sciences Division and contributes to teaching across multiple programs including Environmental Sciences BSc, Geography BSc, and Environmental Management MSc.
- Research focus on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in aquatic environments
- Expertise in mollusc endocrinology and fish reproductive systems
- Active in regulatory science and EU policy development
Her recent publications highlight pharmaceutical pollution effects on molluscs, estrogenic impacts in wild fish, and innovative water treatment solutions. Research spans both lab and field studies across freshwater ecosystems.
