Alia Khurram is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Wayne State University, part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (2009), an M.S. from the same institution (2003), and prior degrees from Quaid-i-Azam University and the University of the Punjab in Pakistan. Her research focuses on applied mathematics, particularly Fourier analysis and numerical methods addressing Gibbs phenomena. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she has instructed courses ranging from calculus to differential equations. She serves on university committees, including as Course Coordinator for Calculus I and member of the Assessment Committee. Professional activities include editorial roles for journals like the Journal of Mathematics and Statistics and presentations at conferences such as the Michigan Academy of Science.
