Ali Reza Montazemi is a Full Professor of Information Systems at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, where he leads research at the intersection of digital technologies and organizational behavior. His work bridges theoretical rigor with practical applications in business process design and consumer-facing systems.
Montazemi's research program focuses on knowledge management in digital environments, computer-mediated communication systems, social network dynamics, AI-driven business process optimization, and the psychological mechanisms underlying online consumer behavior. Recent investigations examine how negativity bias affects review interpretation, chatbot knowledge-sharing efficacy, and digital transformation leadership in public sector contexts.
His publications since 2019 reveal a strategic concentration on online review ecosystems—analyzing diagnosticity, valence effects, and platform effectiveness—while expanding into government digital transformation and AI-augmented knowledge management.
