Ali McGill

Ali McGill is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Brunswick's Department of Nursing based at MacLaggan Hall. She holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from Memorial University (2023), a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) from Dalhousie University (2007), and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of New Brunswick (2002). She is a licensed Nurse Practitioner through the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.

Her research focuses on transformative healthcare system design using the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM), with interests spanning complexity science, resilient healthcare systems, and qualitative methodologies. Clinical specialties include emergency nursing, mental health nursing, community-based care for older adults, harm reduction practices, and acute/chronic wound management.
