Prof. Ali Khashan is a Professor of Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, University College Cork (UCC), and Principal Investigator at the INFANT Centre. He holds a PhD in Perinatal and Psychiatric Epidemiology from the University of Manchester (2008) and has over 15 years of expertise in perinatal epidemiology, particularly in analyzing large population datasets. His research focuses on maternal and neonatal adverse outcomes, fetal environmental impacts, and maternal long-term health post-pregnancy complications. He leads global collaborations in the UK, Denmark, Sweden, the USA, and New Zealand, with a strong emphasis on low-income health solutions like the ULTRA App in Tanzania (2021–2024).
