Ali Khadivi

Dr. Ali Khadivi serves as Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Chief of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. He holds adjunct professorships at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Fordham University, and The New School for Social Research, where he teaches doctoral-level diagnostic assessment courses across multiple New York hospitals including Montefiore, Bellevue, and Jacobi.

His academic foundation includes undergraduate studies at Tufts University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research (1990), followed by clinical training at Bellevue Hospital Center and New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Khadivi's research specializes in forensic mental health evaluation, with groundbreaking work on psychosis assessment and violence/suicide risk tools. His co-development of the Fordham Risk Screening Tool (FRST)—adopted by New York State Office of Mental Health—exemplifies his focus on practical clinical applications.
