Prof. Ali Kerem Saysel is a Professor of Geography at the University of Bergen (UiB), specializing in transdisciplinary environmental systems and system dynamics. He holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering and Environmental Sciences from Boğaziçi University (1990, 1993, 1999). His research focuses on system dynamics modeling for environmental resource management, sustainability transitions, and stakeholder engagement in socio-technical systems. He has led projects addressing agricultural water management in the Mediterranean under the PRIMA program and contributed to the IPBES Global Assessment on Biodiversity. He teaches system dynamics courses at UiB and collaborates in ERASMUS+ initiatives, including MOOCs on the food-water-energy nexus.
