Ali Kazemian

Ali Kazemian is a faculty member at Louisiana State University (LSU), affiliated with the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management within the College of Engineering. He holds the academic rank of Adjunct Professor and has been a Professional in Residence since 2022. Previously, he served as an Adjunct Instructor at LSU from 2007 to 2022. His professional experience includes leadership roles in construction firms such as Executive Vice President at EXCEL USA (2021–2022), Senior Vice President at Turner Industries (2018–2021), and over two decades as a Project Manager at Turner Industries (1990–2013).

His education includes a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Construction Management, all from LSU. His research focuses on innovative construction technologies, particularly 3D printing applications in civil infrastructure, robotic construction systems, and sustainable materials like sulfur-regolith concrete for extraterrestrial environments. He explores automation in quality control, BIM integration, and the development of advanced cementitious materials for large-scale additive manufacturing.

Key areas of investigation include planetary construction for lunar/Martian habitats, automated reinforcement techniques, and early-age strength monitoring of printed structures using embedded sensors. His work also addresses challenges in building code compliance for 3D-printed concrete and the future of the construction workforce in emerging technologies.
