Ali Bicer is Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in Texas A&M's School of Education and Human Development. His research focuses on enhancing mathematical creativity, problem-solving skills, and STEM engagement through innovative pedagogical approaches.
Funded projects include NSF investigations into STEM PBL integration in teacher education, undergraduate STEM pathways, and community-based STEM initiatives. He examines how problem-posing, coding integration, and creativity-directed tasks enhance mathematics learning and affective engagement.
Teaching includes mathematics methods courses and problem-solving instruction. His work addresses equity concerns through studies of mathematical connection development and cultural factors in mathematics attitudes.
