Ali Behnood is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Mississippi's Department of Civil Engineering, part of the School of Engineering. His research focuses on sustainable and resilient infrastructure, data analytics, and recycled materials utilization. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University's Lyles School of Civil Engineering and has prior experience as a post-doctoral research associate and research associate at Purdue, followed by work as a design engineer at the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Dr. Behnood's expertise includes transportation infrastructure, systems engineering, smart cities, and automation. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University (2016). He actively contributes to organizations like the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Transportation Research Board. His work has earned recognition, including being listed in Clarivate's Highly Cited Researchers and Top 2% Global Scientists.
