معرفی
Dr. Ali Azimi is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney, specializing in proteomic applications for skin cancer diagnostics. He received his PhD in non-melanoma skin cancer proteomics from the University of Sydney in 2019 and holds a Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Higher Education) and Fellowship of Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
- Primary Affiliation: Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney
- Collaboration: Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals
Research Focus: Development of non-invasive diagnostic methods for skin cancers using tape-stripping proteomics and multi-omics approaches. Key areas include molecular classification of lesions, metastasis proteomics, and biomarker validation.
Publication Trends: Recent work emphasizes melanoma proteomics, non-invasive diagnostics, metastasis mechanisms, and multi-omics integration for skin cancer classification. Collaborations with clinicians drive translational applications of mass spectrometry.
Scientific Recognition:
- Sydney West Translational Cancer Research Fellow (2019)
- IMSF Nico Nibbering Travel Award (2018)
- Best Oral Presentation Award (Sydney Medical School, 2016)
Teaching & Supervision: Involves in designing and delivering undergraduate teaching sessions (AMED3001/3901) and supervising 1 PhD, 6 Honours, 3 Dalyell, and 1 MD student.
Current Projects: Focus on scarless proteomics, multi-omics classification, and molecular surveillance of skin cancers.
