Ali Asghar Norasteh is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at the University of Guilan, Iran, within the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. Born in Rasht, Iran in 1967, he has served as a lecturer since 1992 and continues his academic career at the university.
Dr. Norasteh served as Vice-Chancellor for Research of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences from 2006 to 2016. His scholarly contributions include over 120 publications in international and national journals and conferences, and he serves as a reviewer for numerous academic journals in his field.
His research focuses on motor control, sport injury, and low Back Pain, with an emphasis on both theoretical understanding and practical clinical applications. He has edited the book "Low Back Pain" which comprehensively covers basic science, epidemiology, risk factors, evaluation methods, and clinical approaches to exercise therapy for back pain management.
