Professor Ali AYDIN is a distinguished academic serving as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Adıyaman University, where he also holds a professorship in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences specializing in Anatomy. Born in 1970 in Meryemuşağı village, Adıyaman, he has built an impressive career spanning veterinary and human medicine anatomy.
His research interests focus on comparative anatomy, particularly examining the anatomical structures of porcupines, squirrels, and wild boars, with special emphasis on neuroanatomy, vascular systems, and histological studies. Professor AYDIN has published 49 refereed articles, 22 conference proceedings, and 2 books, demonstrating consistent scholarly output from the 1990s to the present.
His recent publications reveal continued active research in both traditional anatomical studies and contemporary medical education topics, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on anatomy instruction. His work appears in reputable international journals such as VETERINARNI MEDICINA and Anat. Histol. Embryol, as well as Turkish medical publications.
Professor AYDIN has held multiple significant administrative positions including:

His academic journey began at Fırat University where he completed his veterinary medicine degree (1987-1992) and doctoral studies in Anatomy (1993-1998), progressing to Professor in 2011 before moving to Adıyaman University in 2013. His contributions to anatomy education include a 2019 textbook for dental students and ongoing research into interactive teaching methods.
