Alhassan Abdullah is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work (Teaching and Research) at Charles Sturt University's School of Social Work and Arts. Previously, he served as a Lecturer and Course Coordinator at Flinders University. His expertise spans child neglect, violence prevention, and culturally relevant interventions in rural contexts. He has conducted research across multiple countries, including Ghana, Nepal, Hong Kong, and Australia. His work focuses on community-centric approaches to child protection, particularly leveraging cultural norms like Ubuntu and Abiriwatia to combat maltreatment. He has led UNICEF- and ILO-funded projects and publishes extensively in social work journals.
