Alfred Katzenbach

Alfred Katzenbach serves as an External Lecturer at the University of Stuttgart's Institute for Construction Technology and Technical Design within the Faculty of Engineering. He holds an honorary professorship (Hon.-Prof.) and teaches the course 'Information Technology and Knowledge Processing in Product Development' at the university. While maintaining his academic affiliation, he primarily operates as the owner of Katzenbach Executive Consulting, which he founded on August 1, 2013.

His research and professional interests center around three key areas where people serve as the foundation for project success: Human Change Management, Intercultural Cooperation, and Knowledge Management. He has developed methodical toolboxes for consulting and training in these areas that are successfully implemented by clients. His work bridges academic theory and practical industry applications, particularly in engineering IT and product development processes.

Professor Katzenbach has extensive industry experience, having served as Head of Engineering IT at Daimler AG from 2004-2013 and as Research Leader for Business Process IT from 1998-2004. He is actively involved in industry standards development, particularly with the JT Industrial Application Package (JTIAP V2/DIN Spec 91383), where he has contributed to international standardization efforts through the prostep ivip Association.
