Alexis Snyder

Professor Alexis Snyder serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Biology Department at Hope College, teaching General Biology labs and facilitating student research. She also acts as a clinical instructor of physical therapy across Michigan institutions. Her expertise spans human biology, biomechanics, and geriatrics.

Education:

• M.S. in Physical Therapy, Grand Valley State University (1999)
• B.S. in Health Science, Grand Valley State University (1996)

Research & Experience: Snyder has been a licensed physical therapist since 2001, specializing in geriatric care and working in outpatient rehab settings. She combines clinical experience with academic roles, emphasizing field and lab techniques in biology education. Her work bridges healthcare practice and undergraduate science instruction.

Labs/Teams: She oversees General Biology lab instruction at Hope College’s A. Paul Schaap Science Center.
