Alexis Slutzky, MA, MFT (she/her), serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Psychology department at Antioch University, Santa Barbara. With over twenty-five years of experience, she operates as a threshold guide at the intersection of healing and social change, supporting individuals and groups to deepen intimacy with themselves, communities, the natural world, and the mystery of life through transformative practices.
Her educational background includes:
- BA in Psychology from UCLA (1992)
- MA in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2004)
Slutzky integrates depth-oriented frameworks including depth psychology, somatics, trauma work, mindfulness, ecology, dream work, grief tending, ritual, and nature intimacy, all grounded in anti-racism and anti-oppression principles. Her practice emphasizes ecological reciprocity and cultural regeneration, spanning non-profits, retreat centers, veterans' organizations, community mental health clinics, schools, and wilderness settings. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she brings compassionate presence and humor to her work while teaching courses that bridge psychology, social justice, and ecological consciousness.
