Alexis Hauser is an Associate Professor of Music Performance at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, serving as conductor of the McGill Symphony Orchestra. He holds a prestigious career with international recognition, including the Koussevitzky Conducting Prize (1974) and multiple engagements across Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
Education: Graduated with distinction in conducting from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna (1970), under Hans Swarowsky. Further training with Franco Ferrara (Accademia Chigiana, Siena), Herbert von Karajan (Mozarteum Summer Academy, Salzburg), and others.
