Alexios Antypas is an Associate Professor at the Central European University (CEU), serving as PhD Program Director. He also holds a visiting professorship at the University of Rezekne in Latvia and is adjunct faculty in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Lemoyne College, Syracuse, New York.
- Education: PhD in Natural Resources Policy and Sociology (University of Washington), MSc in Environmental Science (SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry), BA in History (Georgetown University)
Research interests include climate change politics, corporate environmental accountability, international environmental law, regulation of multinational corporations, and environmental politics in illiberal democracies. His work focuses on policy networks, transboundary environmental governance, and environmental policy integration in Eastern Europe.
Professional Roles: Consultant to UNDP, UNEP, US Forest Service, and the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe. Office hours: Thursdays 12:40-13:30 in Budapest (Room 110) or Vienna (A003), or by appointment.
