Alexey Gvishiani

Prof. Alexey Gvishiani is a leading geophysicist and Professor at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), with affiliations to the Geophysical Center RAS and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). He serves as Acting Chair of IIASA's Scientific Council (since 2017) and has led the Geophysical Center RAS since 2005. His career spans roles as RAS Deputy Academician-Secretary (Earth Sciences Division), CODATA Vice President, and EMSC Vice President.
