Associate Professor Alexandru CĂLIN serves at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB) with dual expertise as an academic and ANCPI-authorized professional (category D since 2006) for topographic, cadastral, and geodetic works.
His research focuses on geodesy and geospatial data automation, specializing in GNSS network design/management, coordinate transformations (3D/2D/1D), and (quasi)geoid modeling. He develops Python/C++ applications for geodetic workflows while integrating multi-source spatial data through GIS, BIM, and CAD systems for infrastructure monitoring and spatial planning.
