Alexandria Porter

Alexandria Porter is a Professor at St. Thomas Aquinas College, based in Costello 114. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Pace University and an M.S. in Biological Science from Fordham University. Her graduate research investigated urbanization effects on white-tailed deer gut microbiomes as wildlife health indicators.

Professor Porter's research connects human, wildlife, and ecosystem health through molecular and ecological techniques. She has extensive experience with domesticated/wildlife species including birds of prey. Key research areas include:

• Wildlife adaptation to human environments
• Biodiversity conservation strategies
• Interspecies health interactions

She teaches laboratory courses including General Biology I/II and General Chemistry I/II. Her work bridges field ecology with molecular analysis to assess anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems.
